The Embedded Controller Program Update Utility given here can update the embedded controller program (H8 controller firmware) stored in the ThinkPad system to fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions. This release supports the following system:
- ThinkPad T30
The supported operating systems are as follows:
- Windows 98 and 98 Second Edition
- Windows Me *
- Windows 2000
- Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 3 or later
- Windows XP
* Only the following T30 models support the Windows Me:
2366/2367 - x1x, x2x, x3x, x4x, x5x, A6x and A7x except for M1x, M2x, M3x, M4x and M5x.
Notes:
- This version of Embedded Controller Program will only work with BIOS Version 2.08 or higher. The BIOS is available in an additional package, a link is provided below.
- If you need to update the BIOS as well as the Embedded Controller Program, update the BIOS first.
