This ThinkPad BIOS Update Utility updates the system BIOS program stored in certain ThinkPad i Series systems to address operational issues, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below.
Only the following ThinkPad i Series Type and Model numbers are supported:
- ThinkPad i Series 1400:
Type 2621 - 422, 429, 442, 482, 486, 489, 49x, 4Ex, 4Fx, 4Gx,
- ThinkPad i Series 1500:
Type 2621 - 542, 549, 54G, 562, 569, 56G, 592, 5FF
The supported operating systems are as follows:
- Windows 98 Second Edition
- Windows Me
- Windows 2000
This program is language independent and can be used with any language system.
