Lenovo strongly suggests rebooting the system before applying the BIOS update.

1.Fixed probable auto shutdown issue when running system in battery mode.
2.Fixed system auto reboot when no password is entered in HDD password prompt screen after around 30sec issue.
3.Add Flash IC protect function to prevent BIOS-ROM data from being destroyed.

Installation instructions
Update BIOS to version 38.
Refresh BIOS:
1. Run Windows Vista and Windows 7, insert the power adapter and close all application
2. Follow the following steps:
a. If Operating System (OS) is Windows Vista-32bit or Windows 7, run 17CN38WW(x32).exe.
Click install->click flash bios->system will auto-reboot after bios refresh (it will take approximately 1 minute).
Note: please do not shutdown the systems or remove the system from the power source while BIOS refreshing.
b. If Operating System (OS) is Windows Vista-64bit or Windows 7, run 17CN38WW(x64).exe.
Click install->click flash bios->system will auto-reboot after bios refresh (it will take approximately 1 minute).
