This package installs the software (Intel Active Management Technology (AMT) Manageability Engine components) to enable the following devices.

Requirements
- (For Windows 8/7/Vista and XP 32-bit) To install this package, Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 or higher should be installed before installation.
- (For Windows XP Professional x64 Edition) IPT client middleware does not support Windows XP Professional x64 Edition.
Installation Instructions
Notes:
- There are pre-requisites before installing this software. Click here for the list of pre-requisites.
- If your computer runs satisfactorily now, it may not be necessary to update the software. To determine if you should update the software, refer to the Determining Which Version is Installed section.
Manual Install
This section assumes to use Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer.
[Downloading file]
- Click once on the underlined file name. Once this is done, some pop-up windows will appear.
The file name ends with "WW.EXE" for Windows 8, 7 and XP, "XP64.EXE" for Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. - Follow the instructions on the screen.
- In the window to choose Run or Save, click Save.
- Choose the folder you would like to download the file to and click Save. A different window will appear and the download will begin and complete.
Once the download has completed, there may or may not be a message stating that the download completed successfully.
[Extracting file]
- Make sure to be logged on with an administrator account.
- Make sure the AC adapter is firmly connected to the target computer.
- Locate the folder where the file was downloaded.
- Locate the file that was downloaded and double-click it.
The file name ends with "WW.EXE" for Windows 8, 7 and XP, "XP64.EXE" for
Windows XP Professional x64 Edition. - Follow the instructions on the screen.
- In the Select Destination Location window, click Next. If you would like to
select a different folder, click Browse. - In the Ready to Install window, click Install. All the necessary files will
be extracted to the folder selected in the step 9.
[Installing files]
- Make sure the checkbox next to "Install ..... now" is checked and click Finish.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to progress installation.
- Click "Finish".
(Windows XP Professional x64 Edition)
@Installation will finish.
(Windows 8, 7, Vista or XP 32-bit)
Step 14 starts automatically. - IPT client middleware software installation will start.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to complete installation and restart the computer.
Finally delete the file saved in the step 4.
Silent Install
Note: This is for system administrators' use only.
- Refer to the "Manual Install" section, and download and extract the file.
- In Step 11 of the "Installing files" section, uncheck the checkbox next to "Install ..... now", and then click Finish to cancel installation.
- At the command line, execute setup.exe with the /s option.
Example: [Path where the files were extracted]\ME_SW\setup /s - Then start installation of IPT software.
At the command line, execute Install.bat in IPT folder.
Example: [Path where the files were extracted]\IPT\install.bat

- Hold down the Windows logo key and press X to open a menu at the lower-left area of the screen.
- Select Device Manager from the menu.
- Double-click the System devices category.
- Double-click Intel(R) Management Engine Interface.
- Click the Driver tab.
- Check Driver Version.
[Windows 7/Vista]
- Select Start.
- Right-click/Press and hold Computer, and then select Properties.
- At the left pane, select Device Manager.
- Double-click/Double-tap the System devices category.
- Double-click/Double-tap Intel(R) Management Engine Interface.
- Select the Driver tab.
- Check Driver Version.

- Select Start.
