This Embedded Controller Program Update Utility updates the embedded controller program (H8 controller firmware) stored in the ThinkPad system to fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below.
This release supports the following systems:
- ThinkPad X20, X21
The supported operating systems for this diskless utility are as follows:
- Windows 95 OSR2 or later(*1)
- Windows 98
- Windows 98 Second Edition(*2)
- Windows Me
- Windows NT 4.0 with Service Pack 6 or later
- Windows 2000
