This System Program Service Diskette updates the BIOS program stored in the ThinkPad system to fix problems, add new functions, or expand functions as noted below.
This release supports the following system:
- ThinkPad X40
Notes:
- This BIOS version will only work with Embedded Controller Program Version 1.12 (or higher). Update the Embedded Controller Program if necessary.
- ThinkPad models with the Intel Pentium M Processor 738/758/778/733 require the Embedded Controller Program Version 1.32 (or higher).
- BIOS Version 1.42 (or higher) is required for Intel Pentium M Processor 738 models.
- BIOS Version 1.55 (or higher) is required for Intel Pentium M Processor 758/733 models.
- BIOS Version 2.02 (or higher) is required for Intel Pentium M Processor 778 models.
- If you should update Embedded Controller Program as well as the BIOS, update BIOS first.
